A little you should know about my reading habits:
- I love to read.
- I will give any book a try.
- If a book is not well written, I won't be able to make it through. I'm a stickler for published authors to have a good understanding of the English language. A good story does not necessarily make a good book.
- I do not enjoy a lot of smut in a book...that includes terrible language or graphic scenes. Now this does not mean that I won't still read a book with some of this kind of stuff in it, but I generally think it detracts from the appeal of the book.
- I will gladly accept books suggestions! I have 52 books to read this year, I definitely do NOT have that many on my "to read" list. If you've read a good book, please let me know so I can give it a try!
- My current favorite genres are science fiction and fantasy (specifically dystopian novels at the moment), but I also thoroughly enjoy a good autobiography every now and again.
- My current favorite authors are Donita K. Paul and John Green.
- My favorite book is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
A little you should know about me as a person:
- I'm a Christian (hence #4 above), therefore I will be reviewing Christian books from time to time.
- I'm kind of a nerd. Ask anyone who knows me, and they may tell you that is the understatement of the year.
- I live alone with my cat, and she rules my apartment. Yes, I'm kind of a crazy cat lady.
- I'm a chemist and a pastry chef. And before you say it (because everyone does), no, those two things are not different in any way. They are exactly the same, only in one case I'm creating something deliciously edible and the other I am not.
- I'm really close with my family, those by birth and by friendship. They are amazing, and I don't know what I would do without them.
